By Road

From the A2 take the A228 to Grain. Continue on this road until you reach Middle Stoke. Watch out for the average speed cameras - the speed limit is 40mph. Turn Right into Middle Stoke just after the third camera. Take the first left and turn left at the T Junction into Burrows Lane, follow the lane, the factory is on the right past the last house. Park here and take the footpath to the airfield.

By Air

From the north, cross the Thames at the West end of Canvey Island. In front of you will be two large chimneys, head towards the right hand chimney. The airfield is about 2 miles to the left of that chimney on the North bank of the Medway midway between the power station and the container terminal.

From the South, cross the Medway heading to the container port on the other bank of the Medway. The airfield is about 2 miles West of the container port on the North bank of the Medway midway between the power station and the container terminal..

Joining Instructions: Join overhead at 1500' , there is no dead side so descend in a cruise descent over the airfield. The circuits are to the south of the field at 800' AGL.

Please note, if there are strong winds running down the runway, there will be a large wind gradient on runway 24 as you pass over the hanger. Do not come in too slow.

Radio frequency is 118.925. This is not always manned, so if you do not get a reply, please use blind calls.

No Fly Zones

Please avoid flying over the villages and the bird sanctuary marked on the above map in red at less than 1500' AGL. There is no dead side for this airfield
